What is recorded
- The date of the review or instrument proficiency check
- The instructor who conducted it, with certificate number and ratings
- The aircraft used
- Ground and flight time
- The instructor's signature
The next due date
Log Scan Pro works out when the review stops counting and shows the date plainly. A check ride, a new rating or a qualifying proficiency check resets the clock, and the Vault reflects that without you doing arithmetic.
Instrument proficiency checks
An IPC is recorded the same way and feeds IFR Insights, which tracks the approaches, holds and tracking you need between checks.
Who enters it
Your instructor does, from their workspace, so the record carries their credentials rather than your typing. As with endorsements, the finished record keeps a snapshot of the instructor's details on the day and never changes afterwards.
