IFR Insights is the instrument pilot's page: what you have flown, what counts, and what runs out when.
Currency
The rolling window is tracked for you — approaches, holding procedures, and intercepting and tracking courses — with the date each currency requirement lapses. You see how many approaches you need and by when, rather than counting backwards through pages.
Approaches in detail
Each approach is logged by type (ILS, RNAV, VOR, LOC, circling) and by airport. That detail is what lets Milestones and currency tell one approach from another, and it makes for a far better record at a check ride or an insurance review.
Proficiency checks
An instrument proficiency check recorded by your instructor in the Vault resets the clock, and IFR Insights reflects it.
Trends
The page also shows how your instrument flying is distributed — actual against simulated, approach types, airports — which is usually more revealing than the totals.
Hiding it
If you don't fly instruments, switch IFR Insights off in Pilot preferences.
