Endorsements
An endorsement in Log Scan Pro is written by your instructor, not by you. It arrives in your Vault complete, with the instructor's details attached.
What an endorsement holds
- The endorsement text and the regulation it is written under
- The date it was given
- The instructor's name, certificate number, ratings and expiry
- The instructor's signature image
- The school the instructor was working under at the time, when there was one
Snapshots
Every completed endorsement keeps a snapshot of the instructor's details as they stood on the day it was signed. If the instructor later renews, changes schools or edits their profile, your endorsement does not change. That is what makes it hold up years later.
Asking for one
Endorsements come from an instructor you are connected to. Ask your instructor; they write it from their workspace and it appears here.
Who else can see them
Any instructor currently teaching you — not just your primary instructor — can open your endorsements to check what is already in place before signing something new. They can read them, but only the instructor who signed an endorsement can edit, finalize or delete it.
Ground school
Ground school completion is recorded as subject credit on your Milestones track and as ground instruction in your logbook. When a ground instructor gives you a written endorsement — for a knowledge test, for example — it lands here in the Vault alongside the rest.
