The principle
Insuring an operator does not give you a standing view of every pilot who flies there. Access to a pilot's records is explicit, purpose-bound, dated and revocable — and the pilot authorizes it.
Two ways to get records
- Ongoing access under an authorization from the pilot, for a stated purpose and period.
- A one-time report — you order a specific report on a specific pilot, and receive exactly that, taken as a dated snapshot, with no continuing account access.
Reports don't change
A completed report is a fixed snapshot. Later edits by the pilot never alter it; a correction is issued as a new version. What you relied on stays what you relied on.
