What to store
- Pilot certificate, front and back
- Medical certificate, with its class and date of issue
- Ratings and additional certificates
- Photo ID, restricted radiotelephone permit, and anything else you are asked to produce
Licenses & Ratings
Your pilot certificates and ratings live together in one Licenses & Ratings section. Each entry is one certificate: certificate number, ratings (tick boxes), type ratings, limitations, restrictions (a filtered list that matches the certificate grade and ratings) and front and back photos. The newest is marked Current. Update my Pilot Profile from this certificate copies the grade and ratings into your Profile — only when you press it.
Adding one
Choose the type, enter the issue date and, where it applies, the class and the expiry. Then attach a photograph or a scan — a clear phone photo is fine.
Expiry tracking
A medical knows its own duration and shows you the date it stops counting for the privileges you hold. Anything approaching expiry is flagged so you notice it well before the flight you were planning.
Ground school documents
If a ground school course asks for a document as part of its completion criteria, you upload it here and the Vault record is what the school reads — you never email the file around. See Ground school.
Privacy
Medical information and certificate images are private files. No school, instructor or insurer sees one unless you have authorized it for that purpose.
