If your school uses Log Scan Pro for scheduling, Schedule shows you their calendar and lets you book.

Aircraft, instructors, simulators and rooms — whatever the school has set up as bookable. Each booking has a type: rental, dual instruction, solo rental, ground instruction, a flight review, a checkout, a discovery flight.

Some schools confirm bookings instantly; others review requests first. The school chooses, and your booking shows which state it is in.

When a school has auto-confirm switched on, a request confirms immediately only if your checks pass: an active link with the school, a current medical, a valid flight review, and — for solo flying — three landings in the last 90 days. Anything missing leaves the request waiting for the school, with a note saying why.

A school can mark an aircraft Always requires school approval in its rental settings — typically high-performance, complex, tailwheel or other specialty aircraft. Bookings for that aircraft always wait for the school, even when auto-confirm is on, with the note "This aircraft always requires school approval."

Instructors can book a school aircraft for their own flying from Schedule → Rent an aircraft for yourself, at any school where they are an active instructor. Their instructor relationship counts as the school link; the same currency checks and aircraft approval rules apply. Unstarted rentals can be cancelled from the same section.

An aircraft or an instructor already booked, or one that is unavailable or down for maintenance, cannot be taken. The schedule stops the clash before it happens rather than after.

Times are shown in the school's local time zone, so a booking means the same thing to you and to the dispatcher.

A booking can be tied to the logbook entry for the flight, so the reservation and the record of what actually happened stay together.

If your school doesn't use the schedule, switch Schedule off in Pilot preferences.
