Log Scan Pro — The Smart Pilot's Logbook

Phase 4 — Experience minimums

This phase is arithmetic, and Log Scan Pro does it for you. Each item shows the figure you have against the figure required, and fills as you log flights.

What is counted

  • Total flight time
  • Dual received, including the cross-country, night and instrument portions
  • Solo time, and solo cross-country with its distance and landing requirements
  • Night flying, with takeoffs and landings
  • Simulated or actual instrument time
  • Recent dual in preparation for the practical test

Where the numbers come from

Your logged flights plus your baseline totals. Rows your instructor posted count exactly like rows you typed. Simulator time is kept separate from aircraft time wherever the requirement calls for aircraft time.

If a figure looks short

  • Baseline totals not entered yet is the usual reason.
  • A cross-country flight logged without its From/To airports won't count toward a distance requirement.
  • Night landings entered in the day landings column won't count as night.
Correct the entry and the item updates immediately.
