Dispatch — check-out, check-in and logbook drafts

Open Schedule, choose the day, and find Check-out / check-in. Confirmed flight bookings appear here; ground lessons and maintenance or administrative blocks are not aircraft dispatches. Authorized school staff record the departure and return.

Check out

Choose Check out beside the booking. For an aircraft flight, confirm Hobbs out and, optionally, Tach out. The last recorded readings fill in when available; compare them with the actual meters before saving. Add operational notes if needed.
The aircraft must remain available: overdue maintenance and unresolved grounding squawks can prevent checkout even when the booking was previously confirmed.

Check in

Choose Check in when the aircraft returns. Enter Hobbs in, the return tach reading when applicable, and any Fuel added (gal). Readings cannot run backward. The form shows the resulting Hobbs time.
Report any Squawk, choosing its severity rather than assuming every defect is informational. A grounding squawk affects subsequent aircraft availability. Saving check-in completes the booking and retains the dispatch record.

Optional logbook drafts

Tick Start logbook drafts for the pilot and linked instructor if they want a starting point for their records. Each linked account receives its own draft, not access to somebody else's logbook.
  • Hobbs time is a suggestion, not automatically logged flight time.
  • The owner reviews the draft in their logbook editor, checks the route, time categories and landings, and saves it before it contributes to totals or currency.
  • Instructor and student flight time stay separate. A student's dual-received lesson is never counted as the instructor's personal time.
  • Repeating a check-in does not create duplicate owner drafts.
School staff cannot use this option to certify pilot currency, fill in a pilot's private records without review, or bypass maintenance restrictions.

Briefing status

The dispatch row can also show a consented Go/No-Go operational summary. See Go/No-Go from a booking. A briefing is decision support, not dispatch or legal clearance.
