Typical findings
- Solo and dual received conflict — a flight is either solo or dual, not both.
- Total time does not equal PIC + solo + dual received.
- Night time exceeds total time (or cross-country, instrument, etc. exceeding total).
- Landings logged with zero flight time.
- Instrument approaches logged with no instrument time.
- Dual received with no instructor recorded.
Warnings versus blocks
Findings explain the problem in plain language and point at the field involved. Most are warnings:
real flights occasionally look unusual, and you remain the author of your own logbook. Fix what is a
genuine typo, and leave what is genuinely correct.
Why it matters
Examiners, insurers and employers read logbooks arithmetically. Catching a transposed 4.5 on the day
you fly is much cheaper than reconciling it three years later.
