Columns, filters and search
The logbook can show 26 columns. Most of the time you want a handful.
Column sets
Three ready-made sets:
- Student/Private Pilot — the columns a student and a private pilot actually use.
- Instrument — approaches, holds, actual and simulated instrument.
- All hours — everything.
Columns (14/26) opens the full list so you can tick your own combination. Your choice is remembered.
Filters
- Search matches registration, airports, make/model and remarks.
- All aircraft types narrows to a category, All aircraft to one tail number.
- From / To dates limit the range.
Filters change more than the table: the totals chart and the printable and exported copies all follow what you have on screen. That is the easy way to produce, say, "all cross-country time in N6729S last year".
How many rows are shown
The Rows dropdown in the toolbar limits the table to 10, 25, 50, 100 or All entries — 25 is the default, which keeps the page quick on a long logbook. A "Showing X of N" line appears when the list is cut short. This only limits what is on screen: totals, the chart, printing and CSV export always use the full filtered set.
Print and export
- Print logbook produces a clean copy of the filtered view.
- Export CSV writes the same rows to a spreadsheet file.
Sorting
Click a column heading to sort by it. Sorting never changes the stored entries — only the view.
