Adding one

Search the directory first — an instructor may already have a record from another school, and they should have exactly one. If they are there, add them to your staff; if not, create the record.
An instructor you add yourself is on your staff straight away. They don't have to have a Log Scan Pro account: you can create the record, list them on your schedule and assign students, and if they sign up later they claim the record and everything follows them.

The relationship

Each instructor at your school carries its own details:
  • Employment status and start/end dates
  • Services offered and approved aircraft
  • Availability and scheduling colour
  • Biography shown to your pilots
  • Your private notes
  • Qualification review date

Qualification

The directory shows certificate number, ratings, recent-experience-through date and certificate expiry, with warnings before anything lapses. Ground-only instructors are labelled Ground Instructor (CGI), never CFI.

Ending it

Ending an instructor's relationship with your school removes them from your schedule and lists. Their record, their students elsewhere, and everything they signed at your school all remain intact.
Instructors are your school's own records; you keep them current.
