What the glider report adds
Soaring Conditions & Landout
- Soaring window — when usable lift starts and ends.
- Thermal tops and climb rate against your minimum thermal top.
- Cumulus or blue day, and the risk of overdevelopment.
- Landout airports within glide of each soaring area, using your L/D.
If the weather model is briefly unavailable the panel reads Insufficient data with the reason, rather than guessing.
Landing-area odds
With a desired landing area, the report estimates the chance of reaching it from the forecast lift, winds and soaring window, and lists the airports along the way.
Launch-site wind
Surface wind or gusts above your entered limits at launch time make the planned launch NO-GO. Everything else is advice.
