Add a new aircraft
Open Aircraft from the pilot menu.
Make and model first
Type the make and model — for example Cessna 182T Skylane — and press Add. This is the type your entries and your "total time by aircraft" report group under.
Then the aircraft itself
For each aeroplane you fly, record:
- Registration (N number)
- Make / model from the list above
- Category and class — single-engine land, multi-engine land, helicopter and so on
- Whether it is complex, high performance, tailwheel or technically advanced
- Whether it is IFR certified
Those details decide which flights count toward which Milestones requirement, and which limitations Go/No-Go points out.
Aircraft owned by a school or FBO
If you fly a school's aeroplane, the school has usually already entered it. Connect to the school and the aircraft appears for you — don't type a second copy, or your hours will split between two records for the same tail number.
After you add one
The registration appears in the Add flight and batch entry screens straight away.
