Everyone signs in through the same page, but the account type you pick decides which dashboard you
land on and which features appear.
The five account types
| Account | Who it is for | Approval |
|---|---|---|
| Pilot / Student | Anyone logging flights | Immediate |
| Flight School CFI | A CFI who instructs at an FBO or school | Super Admin approval |
| Independent CFI | A CFI who instructs on their own | Super Admin approval |
| FBO / Flight School | An organization | Super Admin approval |
| Insurer | An underwriter or agency | Super Admin approval |
Pilot accounts
Pilots are approved immediately. You get the logbook, Milestones, IFR Insights, the Pilot's Vault
and Go/No-Go without connecting to anyone.
CFI accounts
A CFI can create an account before their school is in the system and link to the FBO later. Your CFI
record can also already exist in an FBO's directory before you ever sign in — when you register, the
system connects your login to that existing record instead of creating a duplicate.
Organization accounts
FBOs and insurers apply with their organization details and are reviewed by the Log Scan Pro
administrator before the dashboard unlocks. See FBOs and Insurers.
Changing later
Roles are additive. A pilot who later becomes a CFI keeps one login and one logbook — the CFI role
is added to the same account rather than replacing it.
