Baseline totals
Baseline totals are the hours you already flew before Log Scan Pro. You enter them once; the app adds them to everything you log from here on.
What to enter
Open your totals from the dashboard and enter the closing figures from your paper logbook:
- Total time, PIC, SIC, solo, dual received, ground instruction
- Cross-country, night, actual and simulated instrument, simulator
- Approaches, day landings, night landings, night-vision time
Use the numbers on the last filled line of the paper book. Round to a tenth, the way the paper book does.
How Log Scan Pro uses them
- The totals strip across the top of the dashboard shows baseline plus logged hours together.
- Milestones counts baseline hours toward the requirement for the next certificate or rating.
- Reports and charts note when totals include carried-forward hours.
- Currency checks still look at dated flights only — currency needs real dates, so a baseline number can't make you current.
The total time rule
Total time is PIC + solo + dual received, and any single flight should use only one of those three. That is how the app adds a flight up, so enter your baseline the same way and your numbers will agree with the paper book.
Fixing a baseline later
Edit the same figures at any time. Correcting a baseline recalculates your totals immediately and never touches the individual flights you have logged.
