How ground school works
1. You connect
Ground school runs through a connection to a flight school or a ground instructor. You start the connection; they approve it. See Connections.
2. The school publishes a course
A course carries a title, a track (private, instrument or commercial), start date, meeting times, location and cost. Courses created by the school are open to every pilot connected to that school; a course created by an individual instructor is open to that instructor's own students.
3. You request enrollment
From Upcoming Courses, request enrollment. The school approves it and the card changes to Enrolled.
4. The school posts each class
After a class, the instructor records the date, the ground time, who attended and which subjects were covered.
5. Credit appears
That one action writes a ground instruction entry to each attending student's logbook and marks the subjects covered on the matching Milestones track with a Reported by your ground school badge. The track switches itself on if it was off.
Corrections
If a class was posted in error, the school reverses it. Reversing removes exactly the logbook row and the subject credits that class created, for that student, and nothing else.
