Courses and ground school
Creating a course
From Courses, post the basics: title, track (private, instrument or commercial), start date, meeting times, location and cost. Everything else is optional. It saves as a draft; publish it when you're ready.
School-level courses
A course created under your organization's name is visible to every pilot with an approved connection to you, and any of your instructors can manage and teach it. That is almost always what a school wants.
Enrollment
Pilots request enrollment from their Upcoming Courses page. Approve requests here. Approving switches the matching ground school track on for that pilot automatically.
Posting a class
Pick the course, the date, the ground time, who attended and which subjects were covered. Each attending student gets a ground instruction entry in their logbook and credit for those subjects on their Milestones, badged with your school's name.
Reversing
A reversal removes exactly what that class created for that student — nothing else.
Who can post
Any of your instructors can post a class for a school course. A manager without an instructor record of their own can post too — they simply pick which instructor taught the class, and that instructor's name goes on each student's logbook entry.
Free, and a way to earn
School-reported ground school tracking costs nothing, for you or your students. Courses are a way to bring pilots to your school — and when a connected student buys a premium training product, your school earns a commission. See Commissions.
