Reports, pricing and refunds
What a report costs
- Your first three reports are complimentary. Run them on real flights — that is what they are for.
- After the trial, each report is $6.95.
- Every fifth report after the trial is complimentary — the LSP Loyalty Bonus. The app tells you where you are in the count before you pay.
Go/No-Go is priced per report and is separate from the training premiums. It is bought as you need it — there is no subscription.
Critical Briefing Package: three reports for one flight, automatically run and emailed to you at the intervals you choose (12, 6 and 2 hours before departure by default), for $12.95. All three complimentary reports can fund one package. Packages are not refundable. See Critical Briefing Package.
If a report comes back thin
Sometimes the data simply is not there: a feed is down, or a remote route has little to sample. Coverage is measured on every run, and if a report falls below our usefulness standard you are never quietly charged for it. Instead the report stays covered behind a short screen that lists exactly which analyses are missing and what each gap does to the decision. You then choose.
Continue at the discounted price — $3.95. The button reads "I understand — show me the report for $3.95." The report opens in full and stays in your history. If you had already paid $6.95, the $3.00 difference goes back to your card automatically; you do not have to ask for it.
Cancel and keep your credit. The button reads "Cancel and keep my credit." Nothing is charged, no report credit is used, and the credit stays in your account for the next attempt. The thin report itself remains in your Go/No-Go list for reference, and the run does not count against your three complimentary reports or the loyalty count.
When it is free either way. If coverage is very low, or the verdict comes back insufficient data, there is nothing to decide: the screen reads "Not enough data for a full determination — this one is on us," the only button is Continue to report, and no credit is used and nothing is charged. The same is true when the run was going to be complimentary anyway — a trial report or a loyalty report is never charged, so no discount is offered.
Whichever you choose, treat every finding in a thin report as provisional and verify the missing items from another source before you fly.
Cancelling and refunds
Go/No-Go follows a refundable-until-generated rule: a paid report credit that has not been used to generate a report can be cancelled and refunded from the request page. Once the report has been generated, the work is done and it is not refundable.
This is deliberately different from the training premiums, which carry the 10-day money-back guarantee. Go/No-Go is excluded from that guarantee because each report is produced on demand.
Guest purchases
Someone without an account can buy a single report. They fill in the same form, get the same report on screen and by email, and buy again if they want another. No account is created and nothing is stored against a pilot record.
Pilots who don't use the Log Scan Pro logbook
A guest report still analyzes the flight in full: the route, the aircraft you enter on the form (type, engine, equipment), weather, NOTAMs, terrain, airspace and the times you plan to fly. What it does not read is pilot data — there is no logbook behind a guest purchase, so the report cannot weigh your total time, time in type, recency, night or instrument currency, or whether you have been into these airports before. Where a signed-in pilot's report would say "you have 240 hours, 60 in this make and model, and you flew last week," a guest report can only note that experience could not be assessed.
The form does offer two optional questions — your certificate and ratings, and an approximate total-hours band — and answering them lets the report discuss the weather and the flight rules against your experience level. They are taken as stated and never verified, so they sharpen the wording without standing in for a logbook.
If you keep your logbook elsewhere — paper, a spreadsheet, another app — that is fine; the report is still useful. But the sections on pilot experience and recent-experience requirements will be marked as not assessable rather than analyzed. Signing up and entering at least your baseline totals makes those sections fully specific, and your first three reports are complimentary either way.
