Critical Briefing Package
Weather changes between the day you plan a flight and the moment you start the engine. The Critical Briefing Package follows one flight through that window with three Go/No-Go reports, each run automatically on schedule and emailed to you when it is ready.
What you get
- Three reports for one flight. By default they run 12 hours, 6 hours and 2 hours before departure. You choose the intervals that fit your plan before the reports run.
- Each report is a full Go/No-Go analysis using the conditions available at that moment, so you can see how the picture is trending.
- Each report arrives in your notifications and by email when it is ready.
Setting the report times
Under the order options you'll see a departure timeline running from 12 hours (or more) before departure to your ETD, with three markers — one per report. Drag a marker to move that report. Below the timeline, each report also has its own slider and an exact-hours box if you'd rather type a number.
- Times move in half-hour steps, from 72 hours down to 30 minutes before departure.
- Reports always stay in order: the first before the second, the second before the final.
- Under each report you see the actual delivery time in your local time and in Zulu. A time that has already passed reads Runs immediately after submission.
- Enter the departure airport and ETD first — the delivery times are calculated from them.
The same timeline appears when you edit a package later. Reports that have already been delivered are locked in place.
Price
- $12.95 for the package of three, or $6.95 for a single report.
- Pilots with an account can use all three complimentary reports to fund one package instead of paying.
- Guests without an account can buy the package too; reports arrive by email.
Paying
If payment is needed, you're taken to the secure card page and brought back to the form. Everything you entered — aircraft, route, waypoints, fuel, departure time and report times — is kept. While the payment is being confirmed the form shows Confirming your payment…, then paid for and ready to schedule. You won't be asked to pay a second time.
When your flight changes
Delayed? Edit the flight — departure time, route, waypoints, alternate, altitude, fuel, occupants or notes — and every report that has not yet run uses the updated flight. Scheduled times move with your new departure time. Reports already delivered stay exactly as they were.
If the route changes, the package checks that a selected fuel stop is still one of the current waypoints. A stop that no longer belongs to the route is cleared instead of carrying stale after-stop fuel into a later report.
Cancelling
You can cancel the package at any time. Remaining reports stop and will not run.
No refunds
Packages are not refundable, including when cancelled part-way through. This matches single Go/No-Go reports, which are excluded from the 10-day money-back guarantee.
