The Commercial Pilot path tracks the aeronautical experience in § 61.129: total time, PIC time,
cross-country, instrument training, complex or technically advanced training, the long
cross-country, the night flight requirements, and the solo or performing-the-duties-of-PIC items.
Because Commercial is largely a time-building certificate, the value here is the running gap
analysis: what is complete, and how many hours of what kind remain.
